Today on the show, Isidro starts by asking, “what are the hidden ingredients in every great taco?”
Though it may be hidden by all sort of toppings on a taco, it’s not the meat. It also isn’t the seasoning or the blended ingredients in the salsa. And though all those things are important, it is not what he is referring to.
Con confianza! Which translates to “With Trust!” Isidro asks if trust has ever been considered when ordering great eats from these restaurants. He points out that, in fact, trust allows you to check out a new taco joint. Trust is the assumption that those tacos are going to be good.
Strap on your emotional seat belt because, in this episode, Isidro tells you about the trust he had in his sister to take care of him – not just while he was growing up, but also the trust that helped him during a pivotal moment in their journey to the United States.
It was also that trust which allowed his parents to make the difficult decision to separate for a while and that same trust that got them back together as a family.
That’s the trust that made his family successful way before they ever sold their first taco. It was trust that every tortilla was warmed up to the perfect temperature that prevented it from falling apart when you bit into it.
Taquote
Trust is like having that perfectly warmed up tortilla, without it, the whole thing falls apart!
